The start of a new week brings with it countless opportunities but even in the midst of the prosperity and positivity of Monday, we can long for the weekend we've had to leave behind. The lie-ins, the time spent socialising with friends and quality time with family all seem so much better than spending eight hours at a desk.

But for many of us, without our jobs we wouldn't be in a position to enjoy the activities we do in our leisure time. And in addition to their necessity, most of us actually enjoy our work once we get started, it's just that Mondays and the thought of beginning it all can be a struggle.

So, how can we can we make them less so?

Some of us might find that an invigorating exercise routine is what we need to kick the Monday blues, while for others an energising smoothie or shake might be the answer but whether or not you're up early enough to do either of those, there are some things that we can all benefit from injecting into our Monday routines, and Bible verses are one.

You may or may not already have particular passages that you turn to when you're in need of a pick-me-up, either way, these nine Bible verses are sure to help you kickstart your week.

Colossians 3:17 - And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
