Two games from Square Enix are currently being planned to be made playable to the Nintendo NX console. "Dragon Quest X" and "Dragon Quest XI" are looking to be the first games to grace the new platform, which is yet to be fully revealed by Nintendo.

Square Enix revealed via a livestream that it plans to make the said games compatible with the Nintendo NX. In response to the revelation, Nintendo told IGN in a statement that "It is under consideration, but we don't have further information to share at the moment."

In the same livestream, Square Enix also revealed that "Dragon Quest XI" is also on its way to the PS4 and the 3DS. The same goes for its predecessor. According to Wired, the release of the games to Sony's console is quite a shock as the installments in the series were always exclusive to Nintendo.

"Dragon Quest XI" was also touted to make use of the Unreal Engine 4. Not only does this help Square Enix preserve and improve the character designs developed by "Dragon Ball" creator Akira Toriyama for the open-world game but it also qualifies it to actually be a Nintendo NX-compatible title.

Wired claims that the "Dragon Quest XI" is expected to release next year, in time for the series' anniversary. If this is accurate, the game will already be out by May. This hints that if Square Enix is also aiming to bring it to the Nintendo NX all things (including the release date) considered, then the mysterious console may be out and about around that time frame too.

However, the site also recalled that Nintendo's word that only more details about the console will be served up next year. As of now, there are only scanty info about Nintendo's project. Nevertheless, with the company already considering which games to put, the gaming world may not be too far away from seeing it in the flesh.
