
Finally, after several months of speculations, NVIDIA has officially announced its latest Pascal-based GeForce 1050 Ti and GTX 1050. The latest additional will provide gamers and enthusiasts with a 1080p-capable GPUs at a very reasonable price.
As per the announcement from the company, "We're adding two new gaming GPUs to our award-winning lineup of NVIDIA Pascal-based GPUs — the GeForce GTX 1050, starting at $109, and the GTX 1050 Ti, starting at $139."
It also added, "Both will let you play your favorite games at a smooth 60 frames-per-second."
The GTX 1050 Ti will come in with 4 GB GDDR 5 VRAM and 768 CUDA Cores. It will have a base clock of 1,290 MHz, a boosted clock of 1,392 MHz, 128-bit memory interface, and 112 GB/s memory bandwidth.
Meanwhile, the GTX 1050 will contain 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM, 640 CUDA cores, a base clock of 1,354 MHz, and 1,455 MHz of boosted speed. Its memory interface and memory bandwidth are similar to its more powerful brother.
Both cards will offer a single DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b, and Dual- Lin DVI ports. They also require a mere 75 watts of power, which means that no supplementary power connector is needed to use any of the new cards. The system power supply should at least be 300 watts, and it will consume two physical slots when attached to the motherboard.
NVIDIA also added that the two new video cards will also be available from their custom-built partners like ASUS, EVGA, Gainward, Galaxy, Gigabyte, iGame, Innovision 3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac. They will also be distributed to 238 countries so that gamers and enthusiasts worldwide can enjoy these offerings.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti will be available starting Oct. 25 with a $139 starting price, while the GeForce GTX 1050 will be available on or before Nov. 8 starting at $109.
The community is now speculating that AMD will do something to counteract its competitor. It is rumored that the company will offer a price cut for its Radeon RX 470 down to $169 to be more competitive. The RX 470 debuted at $179, although retailers are selling them close to $200.
