Oklahoma City Thunder star and former Most Valuable Player (MVP) Kevin Durant was recently in Spain for a promotional tour and there he claimed he is still the best player in the world.

Durant missed time last season because of a foot injury that was aggravated when he tried to play.

The six-time National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star only played in a career-low 27 regular season games last season because his foot, which was initially injured during last year's offseason, continuously bothered him and required multiple surgeries.

Despite only playing in a limited number of games, Durant still had good numbers averaging 25.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in 33.8 minutes per outing.

Before last season, Durant won the MVP award in the 2013–14 season and led the Thunder to the Western Conference Finals only to lose to the San Antonio Spurs who were crowned NBA champions during that year.

In his trip to Spain, Durant shared in a conference that he is a hundred percent healthy and is ready to play.

Durant added that he has been in the gym trying to get better and is looking forward to the 2015–16 season as he misses everything about the NBA.

The 2012 NBA All-Star Game MVP also spoke about the Thunder and said, "I think we have a really good team. We have to come together and play as one, and that's harder than people realize. But we're ready to take on the challenge."

Durant also said that Oklahoma City is "under the radar" and that is where they want to be as they are looking forward for a good season.

He also stated as the audience chuckled, "And yes, I'm still the best player in the world."

Missing Durant last season, the Thunder failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time in six seasons, which included a trip to the NBA Finals in the 2011–12 season.
