"Once Upon a Time" season 5, episode 17 will show how Gaston came into Belle's life. Titled "Her Handsome Hero," the installment promises a standoff between the latter's old flame and present husband Rumple.

Belle and Gaston's past will be told in the upcoming chapter of the ABC drama and as fans would expect, Rumple and Gaston's run-ins will be featured on top of that. The "Once Upon a Time" season 5 episode will also reveal what becomes of Gaston in the hands of Rumple.

In a sneak peek for "Once Upon a Time" season 5, episode 17, another type of situation is brewing. Determined to get her child out of a deal between Rumple and Hades, Belle becomes desperate to protect their child.

She turns to Gold for help but allows him to be involved only if he shuns using dark magic, which put Gold off big time. Belle believes that he can use his powers to do good, but Gold insists that it does not work that way.

By the end of the "Once Upon a Time" season 5 sneak peek, Belle then gives him an ultimatum. "You want a future with me, you have to do this my way," she tells Gold, who started to realize what really is at stake here.

A second sneak peek for "Once Upon a Time" season 5, episode 17 shows the heroes use the element of surprise to take down Hades. It starts off with Emma waking up to a dream (which was not shown) that doubled her determination to defeat the lord of the Underworld.

When he meets up with the rest of the group, Emma hugs Snow tight, the type of embrace someone will give to a person who is about to leave. This suggests that Emma's bad dream has something to do with Snow getting in trouble.

After telling Snow how happy she was to see Snow, Emma proceeds to help Regina cast a protection spell on the elevator that will take them straight to Hades.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5, episode 17 "Her Handsome Hero" airs today April 10 at 8pm ET on ABC. Watch the episode online on ABC Live.
