Viewers will finally understand why sisters Regina (Lana Parrilla) and Zelena (Rebecca Mader) are constantly fighting in the hit ABC series "Once Upon a Time."

In season 5B, TV Line reports that family secrets are about unfold, as the showrunners dedicate an upcoming episode on the backstory of the two siblings. Titled "Sisters," both Regina and Zelena will be featured when they were still young. Ava Acres has reportedly been tapped to play as the younger version of the Evil Queen, while Isabella Blake-Thomas is the adolescent Wicked Witch of the West. The two actresses will be seen in episode 19 of the current installment.

As young girls, Regina and Zelena both suffered a lot from having a royal for a mother. Cora (Barbara Hershey), the Queen of Hearts, groomed Regina to become a queen at an early age. Before the curse, Regina was described as "neglected and lonely," and had no interest whatsoever in her mother's power and position. Zelena, meanwhile, was starting to discover her witch ability, which her father tried to squish out of her.

The last time viewers saw Zelena was when her sister sent her to Oz. According to the report, her storyline will be interlocked with the happenings in the Underworld, where the rest of the Storybrooke characters will travel to bring back Hook (Colin O'Donoghue). Co-creator Edward Kitsis shared in his interview that the witch would still play a major role despite being banished.

"Zelena is absolutely not done. The Zelena story in Oz, with Dorothy [Teri Reeves], will tie into our Underworld story pretty significantly," he said.

Meanwhile, Spoiler TV recently released pictures captured from the production set of "Once Upon a Time" at Gary Point Park and Steveston docks in Canada. In several of the photos, Hook and Cruella (Victoria Smurfit) are both seen interacting with each other. The villain's distinctive black and white hair is visible in the images. It has been previously reported that a lot of dead characters would return to the series when the quest to save Hook's soul brings his friends to the Underworld.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 will return on Sunday, March 6, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
