The hit ABC fantasy series "Once Upon a Time" is going to air its sixth season sometime this fall. Ecumenical News reports that for this new season, Lily, Emma's childhood friend, will be returning to the series as Maleficent's long-lost daughter.
Showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis both confirmed that their plans include Lily and Maleficent's storyline continuing, and viewers are expected to find out more about her patronage in this new season. There were also hints that the character Maleficent may be getting her own romance in the story very soon. Kitsis and Horowitz are apparently keeping track of what the fans are requesting, and they promised that they will find a way to include these in the next few episodes.
They also mentioned that they hope to bring back Ruby and Dorothy, along with other "realms" from previous seasons. However, it doesn't mean that the characters will go on a new journey, only that they might feature those realms through the use of flashbacks from the character's backstories.
Horowitz says, "The paradigm for what season six will be is a little bit different than what we've done the last few years, and we're very excited by it. It involves our core group of characters, Storybrooke and flashing back to other realms. It doesn't necessarily mean a journey to someplace else. I think at the end of the finale you'll get a little bit of a taste of how we're going to approach it — it's both a little something old and something new."
CarterMatt reports that fans are excited about The Evil Queen's reappearance for the series, since they believe that she will "cause carnage" for this new season.
In other news, Inquisitr also mentions that the stars Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin, who play Prince Charming and Snow White, have welcomed their little bundle of joy to the world. Goodwin gave birth to Hugo Wilson Dallas this June 1. In the previous season, Ginnifer had to keep standing behind large items to keep hiding her baby bump from the screen.
"Once Upon a Time" is expected to return to ABC this fall.
