The popular shonen pirate anime series, "One Piece," is getting a new movie called "One Piece Film: Gold," and it looks like the new film is going to see release in countries outside of Japan.

According to a report by Game N' Guide, the upcoming "One Piece Film: Gold" won't just be screening in Japan, but will be seeing release outside the country including Australia, Canada and the U.S. as well. Slated to debut stateside in January next year, the film will be accompanied by English dubs to help its English viewers get a better grasp of the film.

Described as a brand new "One Piece" movie which follows the original manga series written and illustrated by mangaka Eiichiro Oda in the Weekly Shonen Jump, "One Piece Film: Gold" has been considered as a standalone which doesn't need back stories for newer fans and viewers to understand and enjoy the content of the film.

Set to release on January 10 to 17 next year in the U.S., Comic Alliance reports that the film was made available in Japan much earlier, debuting in the summer and raking in about $50 million USD or ¥5.11 billion. Though the profits may seem overwhelmingly huge, fans don't find the numbers surprising at all since "One Piece" franchise enjoys excessive popularity both inside and outside of Japan.

The description of the film reads, "The glittering Gran Tesoro, a city of entertainment beyond the laws of the government, is a sanctuary for the world's most infamous pirates, Marines, and filthy rich millionaires. Drawn by dreams of hitting the jackpot, Captain Luffy and his crew sail straight for the gold. But behind the gilded curtains lies a powerful king whose deep pockets and deeper ambitions spell disaster for the Straw Hats and the New World alike.

Based on the wildly popular hit anime manga and television series, 'One Piece Film: Gold' follows the Straw Hat pirates to the big screen in an all-new high-flying adventure. The popular anime series that has captivated fans around the globe unfolds a new saga in this highly anticipated theatrical event."
