OnePlus 4 release date, specs rumors: New flagship to be with consumers by Q2 next year?

The current-gen OnePlus 3 flagship. Rumor has it that OnePlus is already readying a follow-up bound for release by May or June next year. OnePlus

While some flagships are yet to be released this year, most fans are already looking forward to the next-generation iterations in 2017. One of the flagship lineups that observers are waiting for is the expected follow-up to the OnePlus 3.

Industry followers agree that although it is just the third quarter of 2016, OnePlus may already be in development for the OnePlus 4. This is highly possible, given that the follow-up is expected to arrive as a yearly cycle to the current-gen flagship. With the OnePlus 3 launching in June this year, it is anticipated that the OnePlus 4 will also go out at roughly the same period in 2017.

Meanwhile, though the OnePlus 4 is not expected to come until the middle of next year at the earliest, speculations on its specs and features have started surfacing online. Much of the fans hope that as with previous iterations, the OnePlus 4 will again be dubbed as a "flagship killer." OnePlus has prided itself with establishing top-tier specs, features, and design for its flagships, without the high price tags normally associated with big-name series. When the original OnePlus debuted in 2014, it came out with a $349 price tag. The current-gen OnePlus 3 is priced at $399, which can be considered a steal for a flagship featuring Snapdragon 820, 6 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage.

Specs- and feature-wise, the OnePlus 4 is expected to come out with at least 6 GB of RAM, as well as the newest Snapdragon 830 chipset. With the current trend in recent releases, OnePlus may also be thinking of coming out with its own "Pro" version for the OnePlus 4, featuring a massive 8-GB RAM and up to 256 GB of onboard storage. The next flagship may also give in to the idea of a dual-cam shooter or a modular design similar to this year's LG G5 and Moto Z iterations.

It might just be me, but amongst all the myriad and somewhat valid objections raised, including by Christians, to "Assisted Dying" (read "Doctors Killing Patients" or "Doctors Helping Patients to Kill Themselves"), I haven't really seen the most important, indeed the all-decisive, one.
