The Open Air Campaigners Evangelists Conference hopes to equip and encourage evangelists in their work throughout the UK when it takes place in November.
Drawing on speakers active in wide ranging ministries, organisers say the OAC Evangelists Conference is geared to people engaged in evangelistic outreach.
The event is set to take place at Hebron Hall, Glamorgan, and sessions are currently being organised to focus on the latest approaches to web evangelism, creative use of visuals as well as many other effective means of communications.
OAC Director Dave Glover explains, "Opportunities for evangelists to get together with their peers are few and far between. This conference is the ideal forum for fellowship, sharing of ideas and learning together.
"Our visiting lecturers this year come from a wide spectrum of Christian ministry and ensure that there will be something for everyone. If you are involved in proclamation evangelism then this is a gathering not to be missed!"
Key speakers will include Andrew Davies who heads up New Frontiers church-planting in Wales, and in 2006 was invited to lead Rhiwbina Baptist Church in Cardiff.
Another key speaker Rev Martin Durham has been the Director of Christ in Action since it was established in 2001. He is also one of the ministry leaders at South Hanwell Baptist Church in west London, on the leadership team for the BGEA (Billy Graham Evangelistic Association) Emerging Evangelists Institute, and on the teaching faculty for the International Leadership Institute.
Jonathan Harris, who is an Operation Mobilisation' Lifehope Evangelist for South Wales, will also lead a session. Harris is hoping to pass on advice from his 25 years of experience in the UK and on ships worldwide.
Organisers said that the conference would attempt to incorporate a good level of flexibility for participants to enjoy the entire residential week of sessions and workshops, or simply attend part of the conference.
The event is being hosted by OAC Ministries (Open Air Campaigners), and will take place from 5 to 9 November.
OAC Ministries works in 26 countries worldwide, beginning in Australia in 1892 and launched in Britain in 1968. The ministry is a member of the UK Evangelical Alliance.
