Fans have not seen the last of Delphine after all. The research associate will allegedly be an integral part of "Orphan Black" season 4.

Delphine is presumed dead after being shot in the season 3 finale. However, some fans are convinced that she has yet to meet her demise and these fans might not be entirely wrong.

Showrunner Graeme Manson promised during a Variety interview that "Orphan Black" season 4 will pick up after Delphine was put on the receiving end of a gun. Manson promised that Delphine's brave journey last year will go on in the new season.

"What we're talking about right now is a mystery. It is a big part of season 4, what happened there," Manson said in reference to the Delphine-related pivotal moment in the season 3 finale.

In a previous trailer for "Orphan Black" season 4, Delphine's employee record was shown briefly. The file indicates that she is suspended, while other employees were marked deceased. This could be a hint at Delphine's true status.

Meanwhile, "Orphan Black" season 4 will follow Sarah as she is brought closer to the truth and the reason behind everything that happened to her in the past years.

In order to do so, "Orphan Black" season 4 will employ the same approach and vibe used in the first season of the show. That means revisiting the events that led Beth to the train tracks.

"What did Sarah miss? There's more story there," Manson teased. The new season begins with Sarah "in a place where you feel a false sense of security."

In an interview with ETalk, star Tatiana Maslany, who plays the role of the clones, revealed that Sarah's isolation will push her "back into the mystery" of the clones.

As for pregnant clone Helena, she will be forced to live in a "very domestic situation" that she is "not built for." The actress also teased that in "Orphan Black" season 4, Alison won't be as reformed as she appears to be.

"Orphan Black" season 4 premieres April 14 at 10 p.m. ET on BBC America.
