After its overwhelmingly positively-received launch back in May, the online first-person shooter (FPS) game "Overwatch" has been given a lot of updates, as well as additional features that kept most of its players happy and engaged. However, last month it seems that Blizzard has been slowing down with its updates, and as such a lot of fans are wondering what is next for the game.

According to Game Rant, the next big thing about the game will revolve around the least played character in the game, Symmetra. "Overwatch" director Jeff Kaplan talks about some of the community's discussion topics, but most of all, he talked about redesigning Symmetra completely.

A lot of players sort of knew about her getting a buff, but most people are surprised to see her getting redesigned from scratch. Of course, it is not yet clear how her evolution will progress just yet, but fans can rest assured that the "Overwatch" team is working hard to make this least-played character a more worthy choice in a wider variety of game situations.

Furthermore, Express UK revealed that Kaplan went so far as to say that the reason behind the total redesign is that he thinks that changing Symmetra using minor tweaks will not be enough. Instead, her character will undergo significant changes, and it will take much longer to implement all of them unlike the simple scope change they did with Widowmaker. With this, it is expected that changes made to Symmetra character will be applied in mid-November at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Kaplan also discusses other things in the game, and he assures everyone that new content is already on its way. First off, a new hero will be introduced any time soon, while another one could be released in early 2017. With this, players should just wait for more updates for the online FPS game "Overwatch."
