Socialite Paris Hilton is engaged to actor Chris Zylka.

The 36-year-old hotel heiress announced the great news via Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 2, by posting a group of photos -- from Zylka down on one knee to Hilton's joyous reaction and the kisses that followed.

"I said Yas! So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life. My best friend & soulmate," Hilton shared in the caption.

It was later followed by another post, this time a video showing how the proposal went down. Looks like Hilton did not even hesitate, but quickly said yes. She described it as the "most romantic" moment in her life.

Talking to People, "The Simple Life" star gushed about her boyfriend of almost two years. "I am so excited to be engaged to the love of my life and my best friend," she shared. "I have never felt so happy, safe and loved. He is perfect for me in every way and showed me that fairytales really do exist!"

Zylka, of course, shares the same sentiments. "I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be marrying my dream girl. I can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together," he told People.

The couple explained that they were posing for photos at the Aspen slopes over the weekend when the 32-year-old "Leftovers" actor suddenly went down on one knee.

According to celebrity jeweler Michael Greene, Hilton's man proposed with a $2 million ring, which Zylka carefully crafted with the diamond expert.

Green said it was patterned after a pear-shaped diamond owned by the future bride's mother. It is made of a 20-carat pear-shaped center stone set on a platinum split shank halo band, which is also surrounded by two carats of smaller diamonds.

Greene shared to E! News that Hilton called him after the proposal to express her appreciation of the gigantic ring and told him it was her "dream diamond."
