"Perona 5" has already launched in Japan, and it was previously scheduled to roll out in North America in Feb. 14, 2017, but Atlus has now announced that the game will be delayed to April 4. This will only be one of many delays as the game was originally scheduled to release in 2015.

The announcement was first made during a Twitch live stream, which also showcased the game in English for the first time. Atlus made clear that the reason the game is being delayed is to ensure that it meets the high expectations they have set for the game, instead of cutting some features out just to meet the deadline.

According to the PlayStation Blog, Atlus also confirmed that a consolation has been given to players. "Persona 5" will now feature dual audio as a free DLC, allowing players to enjoy the game in English or in the original Japanese voice acting.

Other few additions have been given to players such as a playable demo that appeared at the Atlus event in Anaheim later this year. A Ryuji Sakamoto PS4 theme was also offered for free, but this only lasted for 24 hours before Atlus took it down.

Consumers who have ordered the "Take Your Heart" premium edition will also get a bonus. According to the report, the steelbook and artbook have been updated, and the soundtrack CD now features Justine and Caroline, the twin wardens of the Velvet Room. This edition of the game costs $89.99.

This will be the first main entry in the franchise that is playable on the PS4. The last game in the series was "Persona 4," and it launched as far back as 2008, although there have been numerous spin-off titles since then.

Unless Atlus announces another delay in the near future, "Persona 5" is now launching for the PS3 and PS4 on April 4, 2017.
