Phoenix Suns injury, roster rumors 2015: Eric Bledsoe sidelined for remainder of season following surgery

The Phoenix Suns, who are having a hard time being consistent this season, must continue their campaign without leading scorer and main point guard Eric Bledsoe.

Bledsoe underwent a surgery last Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, ESPN reported.

In the Suns' defeat to the Philadelphia 76ers last Saturday, Bledsoe went down in the second quarter and was forced to leave the game.

Now, Bledsoe will not be returning to action this 2015–16 National Basketball Association (NBA) regular season and, according to ESPN, is expected to be ready when Phoenix open training camp in fall.

The 26-year-old point guard is a huge loss to the Suns who are 13th in the Western Conference with a 12–22 record, currently riding a six-game losing streak.

In 31 games played this season, Bledsoe is averaging 20.4 points, four rebounds, 6.1 assists, and two steals per contest.

Bledsoe has been a crucial player for Phoenix since joining the organization via a trade deal before the 2013–14 season from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Unfortunately for the point guard from Kentucky, the Suns are still experiencing the playoff drought and with him out in their lineup for the remainder of the season, it is likely that they are missing it again.

In the absence of Bledsoe, expected to step up is fellow playmaker Brandon Knight, who is playing very well in his second season with Phoenix and will likely be the team's leader.

Bad news for the Suns, veteran point guard Ronnie Price is also injured with a toe sprain and missed Wednesday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs, also likely sitting out versus the Oklahoma City Thunder today, Thursday, AZCentral.com reported.

The Suns are currently on a four-game Western Conference road trip, with the showdown against Oklahoma City being the second game of the trip.

After the Thunder, the Suns then face the Sacramento Kings this Saturday and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

More recently, I’ve enjoyed Christian movies Unsung Hero and Jesus Revolution on limited release in the UK, but it’s rare for such films to make the multiplex chains.
