The cast and production team of the musical comedy film "Pitch Perfect 3" are in the midst of celebrating its release. However, the movie generated a number of bad reviews from movie critics.

After its release on Dec. 20, many movie experts expressed their disappointment to the third installment in the movie franchise. Most critics slammed the movie's lack of heart and inspiration. Many movie viewers also showed their frustration with their expectations not being met.

The movie got a score rating of 31 percent from Rotten Tomatoes, and an audience score of 52 percent. Empire indicates that the level of humor present in the first two movies was not found in the third one. The Washington Post name-drops "Pitch Perfect" star Anna Kendrick for her poor performance in the film.

However, there are other comments from fans defending the movie from all the criticism. A few of them pointed out that the music selections included in the movie were well-executed and flawlessly delivered.

"Pitch Perfect 3" is the last movie to be released for the musical movie franchise. However, Anna Camp who played Aubrey Posen in all three movies is ready for more. During an interview with Screen Rant, Camp expressed her sadness that the movie franchise is over. "We've been making a movie together, we've become best friends, like every 2 years we get together and make a movie. So, it's really surreal to not have something on the schedule," she said. When asked if she is willing to do "Pitch Perfect 4," the 35-year-old said, "I would definitely do it if they called us back again, obviously."

In an interview with Parade, Kendrick said she is also open to doing more "Pitch Perfect" movies. "If it were up to me and the girls, we would do a million of them," Kendrick said.

More recently, I’ve enjoyed Christian movies Unsung Hero and Jesus Revolution on limited release in the UK, but it’s rare for such films to make the multiplex chains.
