Sony will finally launch its next-generation Playstation 4 console this week.
Prior to the U.S. release of the highly anticipated PS4 on Nov. 15, the company has released an official unboxing video of the gaming device.
The video shows a person with brown leather gloves unboxing the product, which includes the network voucher, quick start guide, DualShock 4 controller, HDMI cable, AC Power Cord, Mono Headset, USB Cable, and the 500GB PS4 system, which can only be seen from a distance.
The clip ends with a man in front of the PS4 box and its contents laid out saying, "Greatness awaits."
Apps for the PS4 will be available on the day of the console's launch. They include apps from Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, Hulu Plus, and more.
For gaming fans that have not previously pre-ordered the PS4, the stock will be scarce on launch day. The demand for the console was so high that retailers such as Gamestop, Amazon, BestBuy and Walmart have stopped accepting pre-orders and there is no solid news on when the new inventory will be available.
Gamestop spokesman Jackie Smith told NBC News: "Reservations are currently closed for both the PS4 and the Xbox One and demand is high. In fact, our 'first to know' mailing lists for next-generation consoles have more than 2.2 million subscribers!"
BestBuy will be opening its doors at midnight for gamers who want to collect their pre-ordered console from the stores. The retailer stated: "The processing of pre-orders will begin up to 2 hours before midnight and will begin with the front of the line and continue in the order that people arrived. While your pre-order may be processed before midnight, no consoles will be given to customers until after 12:01 a.m."
The exclusive games list for the PS4 console is as follows:
Killzone: Shadow Fall DC Universe Online Injustice: Gods Among Us Warframe War Thunder Contrast Blacklight:Retribution Escape-Plan Flow Flower Pinball Arcade Putty Squad Resogun SoundShapes Switch Galaxy Ultra DC Universe Online Skylanders SWAP Force Super Motherload Tiny Brains Warframe.
The Playstation 4 will launch on Nov. 15 in the U.S. and Canada, with a release in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on Nov. 29, 2013.
