Game developer Niantic has recently rolled out the latest game update for "Pokémon GO." The augmented reality game is now equipped updated Gym Training mechanics, Catch Bonus, and more.

Gamers should take note that their "Pokémon GO" game version should show 0.41.2 for Android and 1.11.2 for iOS devices to experience the latest features. Players will now be able to obtain a "catch bonus" every time they obtain a low-level pocket monster. The bonus will eventually build up and will offer a higher chance of grabbing a rare Pokémon type, as mentioned in the announcement.

The "gym training" has also been updated. Trainers will now be able to bring in a total of six Pokémon characters to a friendly gym for training purposes. The CP of the Pokémon characters of the gym will then be temporarily adjusted lower in order to have a more balanced and friendly match. This, in turn, will inspire players to go to the gym more frequently and leave the gym less disappointed.

Egg and incubator screens were also added. This feature will provide the trainers with the distance information if they are trying to incubate eggs. This also lessens the need to refresh the screen when walking around.

Additionally, the update also brought in several fixes to audio issues, evolution animation was also decreased, and a few other minor fixes. The studio did not provide additional details for its other solutions.

The medal screen will now occasionally pop up, when one is about to capture a Pokémon, on the Gotcha! screen. Players have reported that it shows up after a successful attempt after a failed one, Kotaku Australia reported.

So far, there no other reports that concern the latest update for the game. Niantic is trying to lure the older players, who have stopped playing the mobile game, into going back, as well as new players to join their community. These updates were meant to keep the players active.

The "Pokémon GO" updates are now available on the App Store for the iOS version and Google Play for Android devices.
