"Pokemon GO" fans have been hoping for Niantic to release the highly-anticipated Legendary pocket monsters. Unfortunately, the studio has remained silent when it comes to their release date. Interestingly, though, a reportedly boost in the spawn rate seems to hint at the release of the aforesaid Pokemon.

According to iSportsTimes, there is an evident increase in the appearance of several "Pokemon GO" Unown in various U.S. cities. Most players believe that this has something to do with the studio's plans to release the Legendary Pokemon, that this could simply be the company's way of paving the way for the said beasts.

It is worth noting that the titular mobile gaming app is set to receive various updates, most of which are significant to the entirety of the game. These are also said to introduce a couple of new features and gameplay elements. While these are something to look forward to, there is no doubt that players are more into the arrival of the Legendary creatures.

Other "Pokemon GO" enthusiasts believe that the increase in Unown's spawn rate may point to an upcoming event. In fact, if these speculations are true, this very event could lead to the introduction of the special Pokemon. Still, these are just rumors and should be taken as such, unless Niantic confirms them.

On the other hand, a Reddit post from user MichaelTheCactus suggests that the Legendaries will be limited in "Pokemon GO" gym battle. The studio's very own CEO John Hanke was the one who revealed this. According to the Reddit user, Hanke explained during a lecture that these kinds of species are quite powerful, thus they have to be watered down. He did not specify, however, as to how exactly these Pokemon will be limited.

As of this writing, there is no exact date as to when the Legendary creatures will arrive to "Pokemon GO." The company has been open about their intention to release these beasts within the year, though. However, until that happens, there is no stopping the fans from speculating.
