News has been scarce about the upcoming season of "Prison Break" since FOX released the first trailer of the Wentworth Miller starrer. The show is set to make its return to FOX six years after it aired its series finale, and while the cast and producers have been keeping mum about the season 5 plot, the show's official Twitter account has been sharing some first-look photos of the new season, with the latest shot featuring Michael Scofield (Miller) in prison.

In the sneak peek photo, Michael is deep in thought, and it looks as though he is plotting his escape from prison. In the picture, Michael is wearing a jacket over a white shirt and tan trousers. The photo was captioned, "The wheels are turning. #PrisonBreak."

Another recent post appears to be a clue that Michael has written on a piece of paper for Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) to be able to find him. The note reads, "Find the sheik of light and I will be free." The post was captioned, "The clues are out there. #PrisonBreak."

Fans of the series were glad upon the announcement of the show's return, as many thought that the story has ended after Michael's death in season 4. Though his death wasn't seen in the finale, the last episode brought Lincoln, Michael's love interest, Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies), and all of their friends at Michael's grave. When the show returns next year, it is expected that the reason why Michael faked his own death will be revealed, as well as how he ended up imprisoned in Yemen in the upcoming installment.

Previously, Fox Television Group co-chairman Dana Walden described the new season as "a bit of a sequel," adding that it picks up several years after viewers last saw everyone in the show. Walden also said that the revival will provide a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world."

"Prison Break" season 5 premieres in 2017 on FOX.
