'Radiation Island' cheats, tips and tricks: Survival basics, maxing out supplies and unlocking Tesla Towers

 Itunes/Apple

"Radiation Island" is the hottest game iPad and iPhone owners would love to throw themselves into. While the game is plain fun in its own right, there are basically oodles of cheats and tricks that can make it so much more fascinating. There is a whole bag of tricks that will make it easy to advance in the game without doing so much as tweaking, not to mention painless means to get food and supplies on tap.

According to iDigital Times, gamers first need to download the iFun Box on a computer and the cheat files for the game here (use password g12UF1pD). Unzip the cheat files to get a folder named Documents. Open the "Radiation Island" app from the iPad or iPhone and close it completely. Plug the iOS device with the game onto the computer where the iFun Box and the cheat files are saved. Once connected, open iFun Box and head over to the User Applications. Look for the "Radiation Island" icon among the apps and double click on it to open. There should be folders such as Documents and Library in there. Next step is to drag the Documents folder from the cheat files onto the "Radiation Island" app to replace the Documents folder with the new one. Disconnect the device, open "Radiation Island" and get a load of the maxed out items that are now at disposal.

Also, Tesla Towers in the game are now easier to unlock. Key in the corresponding codes to gain access to the towers.

  • Far Left Radiation Island Tesla Tower - 214808, 534211, 628620, 706798, 803482 and 899862
  • Right Side Radiation Island Tesla Tower - 097494, 419716, 459230, 510582, 781640 and 939937

There are also tips (care of Heavy.com) for gamers who wish to get ahead without magic. The key there is to master the basics. A specific array of items is vital for survival in the game and players should make sure to pick up Twigs, Flint, Stones, Fiber, Leather, Leaves, Medical Plans, Fish Iron Ore, Titanium Ore and Sulfur Ore in order for them to prevent dying from starvation as well as make a custom weapon. Gamers would also want to make a fishing rod to stay full (or at least, not famished). Two pieces of string and three pieces of wood will do.

Departing from the beach is not the way to go at the preliminaries of the game. Before going out its bounds, players should make it a point to get to level 5 backpack inventory space as well as collect stockpile of food to keep them going, and weapons and leather garments for defense. Also, it is best to used ranged weapons than melee weapons so gamers should take note of the following bludgeons to use for stronger damage and firmer cover.

  • Boomerang: 4 pieces of Wood + 1 piece of Flint
  • Slingshot: 5 pieces of Wood + 2 pieces of Fiber
  • Bow: 4 pieces of String + 4 pieces of Wood
  • Arrow Heads: 2 pieces of Flint + 1 piece of Iron
  • Arrow: 1 piece of Fang + 1 piece of Wood or 1 Arrow Head + 1 Twig
  • Spear: 1 piece of Flint + 1 piece of Fiber + 2 pieces of Wood
