Bravo network premiered a "Real Housewives of New Jersey" spinoff titled "Teresa Checks In" starring controversial housewife Teresa Giudice and word has it that the show garnered disastrous ratings.

According to a report from Radar Online, the three-part spinoff that premiered last October 11 was not received as well as initially expected, leading to speculations that the reality star might further poison the ratings of another season of "Real Housewives of New Jersey."

The spinoff featured Teresa's husband Joe and his struggles to raise four daughters while their mother was away at prison. Teresa also starred in the spinoff via phone calls from the jailhouse.

Radar further reported that the spinoff only garnered roughly 1.4 million viewers in its third week and was crushed by the likes of "Guy's Grocery Games."

According to a source, network producers were worried about the poor ratings.

They expected fans to look forward to the show because it's the first time that Teresa got featured while in prison, but their expectations weren't met.

This made them realize that maybe the reality star has lost her fanbase.

Now it's going to be a waiting game for fans if "Real Housewives of New Jersey" season 7 will be pushed through.

Although the premiere date for a seventh season has not been determined filming could begin in the middle of November, as mentioned in the report from E! Online.

Meanwhile, Bustle has its own expectations from season 7 if it gets released anytime soon.

Mostly, it contains expected plotlines focusing on Giudice and based on the spin-off, season 7 could feature her relationship with fellow housewife Melissa Gorga.

The next season could also feature more of the Giudice family as the matriarch has returned from prison. In addition, since Teresa is fresh from being incarcerated, Bravo might just highlight her time in prison, especially those moments that could take the show in a more emotional turn.

However, as mentioned ratings for "Teresa Checks In" wasn't really good and the abovementioned plotlines are merely speculations.

Fans will just have to wait for news on the confirmation of season 7.
