'The Real Housewives of Orange County' season 10 episode 2: 'Take a Swing' recap

Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 cast Bravo

This week on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Shannon Beador and her husband David went to marriage counseling, while Vicki Gunvalson threw a Mexican-themed party and invited all the ladies.

Previously, Shannon revealed that David had an affair with another woman, but she's not giving up on their marriage that easily. This week, their marriage counselor made them go through an exercise wherein they tried to imagine how they would feel if they lost their partner. They wrote eulogies for one another, which they read as they took turns lying down in front of a tombstone.

The exercise proved to be effective as David cried while reading Shannon's tribute. During her confessional, Shannon said that David doesn't cry easily, so for him to break down like that, it surely means something.

While their marriage counselor reminded them that it could take as long as two years for them to fully heal their relationship, Shannon said that she can't imagine David not being in her life.

"I forgive David for the affair. I have hope for the future," said Shannon.

She also mentioned how her children were devastated by the affair when one of her daughters picked up David's cellphone and discovered his text messages with another woman. Later, David apologized to his children and asked for their forgiveness.

Meanwhile, Vicki just got back from her Puerto Vallerta vacation with her boyfriend Brooks Ayers. She decided to throw a Mexican themed party and invited all the ladies to the affair.

During the party, Vicki and Tamra Judge had a conversation about their friendship. Tamra was still upset with Vicki for ganging up on her last season, while Vicki was still mad at Tamra for interfering in her relationship with Brooks. Vicki and Tamra managed to be cordial, but Vicki was not happy that Tamra did not support her during Brooks' cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Meghan King Edmonds approached Shannon and David at the party, and Shannon gave her the cold shoulder. Meghan was actually at Heather Thomson's infamous hoedown party and Meghan, David, and Vicki had a few tequila shots together at the event. Meghan noted that Shannon may have thought that she was flirting with David at the hoedown, and the three stood around awkwardly until Meghan's husband Jim arrived.

"The Real Housewives of Orange County" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
