'Rectify' season 3 spoilers: Daniel's plea comes with drawbacks in episode 3

Daniel (Aden Young) will discover that there is a hitch on his plea bargain in the upcoming episode of Ray McKinnon's award-winning drama series "Rectify."

In "Sown With Salt," TV Guide reports that the ex-convict will discover that his plea deal for the rape and strangulation murder of his teenage girlfriend Hanna comes with some inconvenient restrictions. Meanwhile, Dagett (J.D. Evermore) will probe into star witness George's (Michael Traynor) untimely death and Amantha (Abigail Spencer) will attend an out-of-town seminar on management training hosted by Thrifty Town.

Last episode, Amantha was still angry at her brother for his second confession. She reasoned that all those years she defended him went down the drain the moment he accepted the plea deal. On top of that, she and her husband Jon (Luke Kirby) were getting a divorce and she could not help but take out all her anger on Daniel.

Tawney (Adelaide Clemens) was having a difficult time talking with her counselor. She was scared of what Teddy (Clayne Crawford) would do, and she wanted to end their marriage. She just did not know how. Teddy, for his part, was starting to realize his mistakes while "stalking" his wife. He and Jared (Jake Austin Walker) would sit in the truck and watch her live her life devoid of him.

Meanwhile, SundanceTV has renewed "Rectify" for a fourth season. According to Hitflix, the announcement came on the eve of the show's season 3 premiere last July 9.

Charlie Collier, president of AMC and SundanceTV, shared his excitement on the news.

"Even in an increasingly crowded field of dramas on television, 'Rectify' has established itself as something special. What Ray McKinnon, this incredible cast and everyone associated with the show have been able to achieve is remarkable," he said.

"Rectify" airs Thursday at 10 p.m. EST on SundanceTV.
