Adult Swim's hit animated series "Rick and Morty" is coming back on air for its third season, and the new season is speculated to be more dramatic. The show's third season will feature the struggles the characters are experiencing within their relationships.

One thing that will surely cause more drama in the third season of "Rick and Morty" is the possibility of Beth and Jerry's divorce, which is rumored to be caused by an alcoholic Morty. Another thing speculated to cause Beth and Jerry's separation are the constant problems in their relationship that have been present since the first season of the show.

"Rick and Morty" co-creator Dan Harmon explained that Beth and Jerry's divorce was originally planned to be a constant thing throughout the show.

"I thought that Jerry and Beth getting a divorce would be like Kenny being killed in South Park, like, when we first conceived the show... that it would never run out of shelf life that that was the kind of joke about like, oh all our parents were about to get a divorce," he said.

On another note, some characters are rumored to come back in season 3 of "Rick and Morty," including Mr. Meeseeks — which guarantees more laughter for fans —and Rick's ex-wife who will probably be helping Rick get through his troubles, therefore adding more drama to the pile.

Additionally, it is rumored that "Furious 7" actor Vin Diesel will be joining the third season of "Rick and Morty" as the character D&D.

As for "Rick and Morty's" season 3 premiere, Harmon hinted that the show might be released earlier than expected sometime before the year ends. What's more is that the third season might not contain the same amount of episodes as the previous season did.

It is expected that the third season of "Ricky and Morty" will be coming out with a total of 14 episodes instead of 10 or 11 episodes like in the previous seasons.

As of now, there is no official release date yet for "Rick and Morty", but season 3 is expected to air before 2016 ends or in early 2017.
