In the next episode of "Riverdale," Archie Andrews (K.J.Apa) tries to get closer to Veronica Lodge's (Camila Mendes) father Hiram (Mark Consuelos) and win his approval.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "The Wrestler," were just released recently, and they show Andrews confronting Hiram about how much he loves his daughter. However, Hiram does not approve of his relationship with her and sternly says, "You are not good enough for my daughter."

Andrews looks at him with disappointment but is somewhat determined to prove him wrong. He decides to join the wrestling team at the school because he thinks he can connect with Hiram that way. Apparently, the strict father was a trophy-winning wrestler back then in high school. If Andrews can become just as successful as Hiram was, maybe he might change his views on Veronica's relationship with him.

Andrews tries out for the wrestling team and gets in easily. However, now he has to train and become the best that he can be. He falters a bit and tells his teammate Kevin Keller (Casey Cott), "It's like there is nothing I can do to earn his respect." Keller empathizes with him and gives him some encouragement to continue his quest. Later, Andrews goes out on a run with Hiram, who treats it as a competition. He beats Andrews and later challenges him to a wrestling match.

In the last episode, Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart) tracked down her long-lost brother Chic (Hart Denton) and persuaded him to stay in their home, after he got into a fight at his place. Everything seemed to be well, but Chic looked like he might have some other agenda in mind to hurt the Coopers.

"Riverdale" season 2 episode 11 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
