Maura (Sasha Alexander) will discover the horrifying truth behind her abduction in the upcoming two-hour midseason premiere of the hit TNT series "Rizzoli & Isles" season 6.

When the medical examiner was kidnapped by an unknown person, Jane (Angie Harmon) had an inkling that she was the real target. It turns out that her suspicion makes sense, as the first episode titled "Hide and Seek" reveals that Maura will uncover the fact that her kidnapping is a big conspiracy where the ultimate aim is to take down her best friend. As for Jane, she will move heaven and earth just to find Maura and bring her home safe and sound.

It appears that the detective will succeed in her mission, as the next synopsis shows the pair working together again to solve a case. According to CarterMatt, the episode titled "Murderjuana" will see Jane and Maura tackling a new case involving a bloody robbery. A security guard succeeded in defending the establishment he is protecting from the thieves. He managed to kill one of them, despite the wounds he sustained.

Upon investigation, Jane will find something amiss. She knows that the robbers have an accomplice, but who is it? The search will reportedly yield puzzling information. What will Jane and Maura discover that will tell them the case is not as simple as it seems? Is the valiant security somehow connected to the crime?

Meanwhile, the TNT has released the promo for the upcoming midseason premiere. The clip shows Jane and Maura back in their A-game, solving crimes. It looks like a bunch of interesting cases are heading their way. One scene in the teaser shows both women in a crime scene, wherein sticking in the ground are several small red flaglets. Maura is telling Jane they need more evidence bags. Another scene shows an unfortunate robber finding himself looking at the barrel of Vince's (Bruce McGill) big shotgun.

"Rizzoli and Isles" season 6 will return on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
