Even though she will be able to save best friend Maura (Sasha Alexander) from her abductor, Jane (Angie Harmon) will still has suspicions that something bad is bound to happen soon in the second half of "Rizzoli & Isles" season 6.

The synopsis released by TNT for the upcoming two-hour midseason premiere confirms the fans' hopes that nothing bad has happened to their favorite medical examiner. After all, Jane has never failed yet in ensuring that nothing and no one will harm the people she cares about. Although Maura's kidnapper was able to pull the wool over her eyes for a moment, the detective has found a way to bring her buddy back home safe.

In the episode titled "Murderjuana," Spoiler TV reports that Jane is still on mother hen mode over Maura and Angela (Lorraine Bracco). She fears that the individual who wants her dead will soon go after her mother. Jane knows that the culprit must be feeling murderous after Maura got away unharmed. To get back to Jane, the only logical choice is to hurt the woman she loves most in the world — Angela. Are Jane's fears justified?

Meanwhile, the hit TNT series is slated to say goodbye after seven seasons. Kevin Reilly, chief creative officer of Turner Entertainment, confirmed the cancellation during the recently concluded Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena. According to him, season 7, which is set to air this summer, would be the last installment for the show. He also shared that the entire cast and crew all felt that they had a good run and it's time to end it.

Meanwhile, Alexander shared with Variety how thankful they are for the fans who continue to support the series starting from day one.

"'Rizzoli & Isles' hit a cord with audiences the moment it aired, which is unusual and special. And it has remained so for almost seven seasons thanks to the passionate commitment of our amazing fans. In this world, that's a huge success... I am deeply grateful and inspired by the work we have done and the friendships we have forged but also am excited to see what the future will hold," the actress said.

"Rizzoli and Isles" season 6 will return on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
