A report from US Weekly revealed that the Robin Williams had four movies slated for posthumous release.
On November 7 this year, the late Williams will once again be seen on the big screen as a doting father who embarks on an eight-hour road trip with his son. Playing the role of his son is one of the lead actors in the hit TV series "Community", comedian and host Joel McHale. This family movie, "Merry Friggin' Christmas" centers on the story of a vexed father named Boyd (McHale) who is forced to spend the Christmas holiday with his dysfunctional family. Among his family members, his father Mitch (Robin Williams) is identified as the most eccentric from the bunch.
The plot of the movie focuses on the relationship of the father and son, which begins when Boyd realizes that he left his son's Christmas gifts at home. Mitch then tags along in Boyd's race to get the gifts from their home and transport it to the Christmas venue just in time for Christmas Eve. Comedy veterans Lauren Graham, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Oliver Platt will also be parts of "Merry Friggin' Christmas".
On December 19, the "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" will include Williams, who reappeared in the film as the former United States President Theodore Roosevelt. This role has been played by Williams in the earlier two installments of the film, namely, "Night at the Museum" in 2006 and its sequel "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" in 2009. Alongside Williams in the "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" are Owen Wilson, Ben Stiller, and Ben Kingsley.
Early next year, the British comedy "Absolutely Anything" will be featuring Williams as the voice of the talking CGI-animated dog called Dennis the Dog. The movie, which is directed by Terry Jones, focuses on the adventures of a determined schoolteacher Simon Pegg. He is then suddenly bestowed with the power to do anything he wants.
The fourth film on the list is the movie "Boulevard". This film is a low-budget film, which was director by Dito Montiel. In this story, Williams took on the role of a worn-out bank employee. His dreary life then took on a thrilling turn when Leo (Roberto Aguire), a problematic street hustler, enters his life. In its screening at New York's Tribeca Film Festival in April, "Boulevard" was said to have received positive review from the audience. At present, the film still has no concrete release date.
