Aside from the rumored Galaxy C9, Samsung may also be thinking of adding new iterations to the lineup as rumors suggest a Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C7 Pro are also in the pipeline.
In an exclusive, SamMobile reports that the South Korea-based tech giant is already working on the Pro versions of its current Galaxy C series. The Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 were released early this year and has been exclusive to China. The industry follower confirms that the base model is bound to have a Galaxy C5 Pro version with the model number SM-C5010. The Galaxy C7, meanwhile, has a Pro version with the model number SM-C7010.
Since it is fairly certain that Samsung only started working on the iterations, not much is known about their specs and features. It is expected, however, that the upcoming iterations, which are dubbed as Pro versions, will offer better specs and features than their base model counterparts. In addition, the Pro versions are also likely to be released with the same design and dimensions as its lineup counterparts, with only the internals getting an upgrade. This means that the Galaxy C5 Pro will have the same 5.2-inch screen dimensions as the base model, while the Galaxy C7 Pro will have a 5.7-inch display.
It is also expected that they will be launched first exclusively to China, much like the rest of the lineups. However, it is known that Samsung may elect to have a global launch for the Galaxy C series, similar to what it did with the Galaxy A lineup.
For the Galaxy C, there is one more iteration to be released. Rumor has it that a phablet will be added to the lineup, as the rumored Galaxy C9 is said to feature a 6.0-inch display. The phablet is also likely to launch as a China-exclusive iteration.
