Now that the much awaited Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have been unveiled, South Korean smartphone giant Samsung will be looking to keep the momentum going in its favor with its upcoming flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 5. While the company has not detailed the hardware specifications of the device, Value Walk states that the Galaxy Note 5 will be the first smartphone to shift away from rendering a QHD display (2560 by 1440 pixels) and raise the bar with possessing a 4K resolution (3840 by 2160 pixels). In the process, the Galaxy Note 5 will become the first ever smartphone to pack the aforementioned resolution.

In addition, the Galaxy Note 5's screen size is expected to be increased from 5.7 inches to 5.9 inches, while maintaining the same AMOLED type display that was incorporated in its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 4. In order to render such a heavy resolution, the combination of a large battery pack and processing power will be paramount. The website states that the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to house a 4,000 mAh battery along with a chipset that is going to exceed the capabilities of the company's Exynos 7420 SoC, which is currently present in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge.

Furthermore, International Business Times stated that the Galaxy Note 5 will also be coming with a dual-curved edged display like the Galaxy S6 Edge in order to present something different to Note 4 owners looking to upgrade their handsets. Samsung will not be looking to waste any valuable time, seeing as the company lost a fortune in 2014 thanks to Apple's large screen iPhones and rising Chinese tech firms such as Xiaomi and Huawei. The company will be looking to maintain the release date of the Galaxy Note 5 during the same period it announced its Galaxy Note 4 smartphone, which was in the month of September.

Currently, there is no word on the kind of hardware specifications that the Galaxy Note 5 will house but more information will be available once the device nears its announcement date.
