Latest reports claim that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will pack an overhauled TouchWiz UI on top of the Android operating system. The company reportedly aims to deliver a user interface that is close to pure Android experience or to the level similar to what Google Nexus 6 offers.

According to Korean media Business Korea, Samsung has plans of optimizing the TouchWiz UI for the upcoming smartphone. The company also has plans to get rid of the unnecessary functions and will simplify the UI.

The report cited sources saying that simplifying the user interface will shave off some of the weight that the OS puts on the system.  Although Samsung Galaxy devices pack a lot of top-of-the-line features, their user interface is one of the slowest in the market.

It is hard to believe that Samsung will tone down its TouchWiz UI, but there is a sudden shift in the software updates rather than the hardware specs of the device. Users realize that software is very important in a device to run properly and swiftly.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S6 has been rumored to feature a 5.5-inch screen display with Full HD resolution, while there are other reports that say that the handset will retain its 5-inch screen panel with quad HD pixel resolution. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdraon 810 chipset or octa-core Exynos 7 SoC with 64-bit architecture and 4 GB of RAM, and it will come in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants with microSD slot for additional storage. It will sport a 16-megapixel rear camera and 3.1-megapixel front-facing camera and longer battery life.

There are speculations that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S6 at the Mobile World Congress in March, but the company has not revealed any specific information about the handset yet.
