It has been a few months since the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active was leaked to the general public, but up till now there is still no confirmation on what features will be included or what is the release date for the said device. According to Day Herald, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active was first leaked last March when there were rumors that it was being tested by AT&T. This wasn't much of a surprise, since Samsung has been releasing Galaxy Active versions of their devices since the S4. These versions usually "take on a rugged body", as reported by Nashville Chatter Class.

This device was recently featured on GFXBench with details on the new device. It is claimed that it would include a 5.5 inch screen with a 2560 x 1440 HD resolution. However, other reports also state that instead, it will feature the same 5.1 inch Quad HD display as the Galaxy S7. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active's existence has already been confirmed, mainly because it will be included in a buy-one-get-one deal with AT&T, reports Android Origin. This is a great deal, but they have yet to reveal an exact date as to when it will be released.

Day Herald also reports that the official spec sheet from Venture Beat states that it will use a SnapDragon 820 processor, with 32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM and a microSD expansion. It is said to run on Android Marshmallow when it is released. It will reportedly also have a dual-lens camera with dual pixel sensors. The camera will be 5MP in front, with optical image stabilization. The screen will also make use of shock-resistant technology.

According to other rumors, Samsung and AT&T may launch the Samsung Galazy S7 Active on June 10 this year. However, neither AT&T nor Samsung has given any confirmation of these rumors, so it's best to take them all with a grain of salt.
