Samsung Galaxy S7 release date, specs news 2015: MicroSD card feature to return?

As a whole, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is one of the best devices that one could get in the market to date. It has been around but for those who have paid close attention, there are perhaps two glaring features that picky mobile phone consumers would want to be addressed for its next iteration.

One of them has to do with the non-removable battery, something that limits the freedom of owners to easily change defective or used up battery packs when the need arises.

With the battery sealed and something which can perhaps only be addressed in case of problems by authorized Samsung service centers, the whole process is, of course, something that could waste one's time.

And then there is the matter of why Samsung had conspicuously removed the microSD card feature that it has always had on previous Samsung Galaxy devices. For some reason (inexplicably), Samsung decided to take that away.

Of course, such could be not much of an issue for folks who don't really use up all the internal storage (plus the fact that the device comes in varied storage options), but the fact remains that it removes a bit of flexibility and possibilities when the need to move files from the internal storage area to a trusty SD card arises.

For now, there is nothing that can be done about that, although the good news is that Samsung has been seemingly listening to the rants. And now, the word out is that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will likely come back with a microSD expansion slot, something that was mentioned via HDBlog.it.

Other than that, there are other things to look forward to. That includes a reported 5.2-inch display for the Galaxy S7 while the other variant, the Galaxy S7 Edge, will have a larger 5.7-inch screen.

These new revelations should be welcome news for folks eager to see what the Samsung Galaxy S7 brings.

Aside from that, other previously rumored specs include the use of two processors for different units, (Exynos 8890 and Snapdragon 820 chipsets) and a 12-megapixel main camera. It will be clad in a magnesium alloy body, according to GforGames, which should make it a smartphone to watch out for.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is believed to be coming out by the first quarter of 2016.
