The highly-anticipated Sony Xperia X Performance might make it to the U.K. after all. Sony confirmed in a statement to Recombu that the flagship, originally not planned to hit the region, will be made available there. According to reports, this will happen as early as July.
"The Xperia X Performance was published on the Sony Mobile GB website in error and will not be available to buy SIM free from our Sony E-Shop. It may however be available in the U.K. in limited numbers via select distribution partners," Sony said in the statement.
This means that users may finally secure for themselves a Sony Xperia X Performance unit without having to go through a different and more stressful process.
However, as Sony emphasized, supply won't last so those who are planning to get one should be ready for the day. Sony also hasn't mentioned specific retailers from which users can order, so they are advised to keep their eyes peeled for further details.
At the moment, pre-orders of the Sony Xperia X Performance are being held over at Eurozone to customers in regions like France and Italy, where pricing starts at £550. It is expected to be around the same price when it lands on the U.K..
The Sony Xperia X Performance was formally announced in February and is expected to be available in the U.S. this month. For those who wonder what they will be getting in exchange for the price tag, they can expect big things on the device considering it belongs to a premier line of the Japan-based tech firm.
The Sony Xperia X Performance comes with a 5-inch Full HD display with a crisp 441 pixel density. It sports a triluminous display protected by a scratch-resistant glass and oleophobic coating.
Hardware-wise, users are looking at a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory expandable up to 200GB with a micro SD card.
The Sony Xperia X Performance comes with a 23MP rear-facing shooter and a 13MP selfie camera on the front. It has a fingerprint sensor and a 2700mAh battery.
