The open-world extreme sports video game "Steep" gets a new downloadable content (DLC) coming next week.

Publisher Ubisoft announced on its blog site on Thursday that "Steep" is going to have a new DLC coming on May 3. Referred to as the "Winterfest," the latest add-on content brings in new in-game snow sport called the Wintersled, new costumes, events, and bosses.

For the Wintersled, fans can enjoy extreme outdoor adventure while travelling around freely on a sled, similar to how they do it with paragliders, skis, snowboards, and wingsuits. On the other hand, for those who are looking for a chance to test their skills, they have an opportunity to assess it with the 21 new "Winterfest" challenges.

As for those who want to showcase their fashionable side, the new add-on content is going to have 10 new costumes and other customization items that will help them look different and stand out in the slopes.

The upcoming DLC comes for free for fans who own a season pass or the Gold Edition. On the other hand, those who are interested in the "Winterfest" may purchase a standalone DLC for $11.99.

The "Winterfest" is the first expansion that is included in the season pass. The second pack, which is called "Extreme Pack," is expected to bring in three new sports, namely, base jumping, rocket wings, and speed gliding.

Meanwhile, the third pack called "Adrenaline Pack," promises two new boards, two new outfits, and a new wingsuit. In addition to these, the third expansion will also bring in the Moonlight Pack, which includes three night challenges, three costumes, two wingsuits, and an equipment.

As of now, no release date has been indicated for the launch of the second and third packs. The season pass may be purchased for $20, while the Gold Edition costs $80.

"Steep" was released in December 2016. It is playable on Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 platforms.
