'Street Fighter 5' news: PS4-exclusive branding spotted on game's box art

New images of "Street Fighter V's" box art indicate that it will be a console exclusive title for PlayStation 4 (PS4).

The new images of the game's box art come from retailer Best Buy; and right around the upper right corner of the picture, folks will clearly be able to see the console-exclusive branding for PS4.

With the game nearing its official release date, Sony and Capcom are undoubtedly making that final push to ensure that "Street Fighter V" is as seen by as many gamers as possible, and the console-exclusive branding should help fans remember where it will be playable on.

"Street Fighter V's" box art displaying that console-exclusive branding is by no means unusual, according to PlayStation Lifestyle.

Companies have opted for that kind of branding in the past to truly drive home the fact that the game will only be available on their systems, though it's worth noting that "Street Fighter V" will be playable on another platform outside of PS4.

Fans looking to get the new fighting game who don't own a PS4 can still get "Street Fighter V" for the personal computer (PC), although Xbox One and Wii U owners will be out of luck.

As for the game itself, fans can reportedly expect a few changes, even to characters that have already appeared in earlier titles.

As WCCF Tech reported, fans can look forward to some surprises in the game and those may come in the form of some fighters showcasing new movesets and other tweaks.

The DLC characters coming to "Street Fighter V" have also been announced, and those additional fighters should be added to the game over the course of a year.

"Street Fighter V's" developers have previously indicated that more characters may still be added to the game outside of those who have already been named.

"Street Fighter V" will be officially released on Feb. 16.
