Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Louis (Rick Hoffman) are unlikely to accept Robert Zane's (Wendell Pierce) merger offer. Meanwhile, the first episode of season 6B will definitely surprise eager "Suits" fans.

Previously in "Suits" season 6A, Robert offered Jessica (Gina Torres) the chance to merge their firms, which would have helped Pearson Specter Litt recover from it's collapse.

Now, Jessica has left the firm, and Specter Litt will be needing all the help it can get. But it looks like even a merger won't be helping them anytime soon.

In an interview with Deadline, showrunner Aaron Korsh shared that Pierce is tied to another show and that scheduling is already difficult, but the merger will still be tackled when the season returns. However, Kross adds that his characters wouldn't want to have a merger anyway, which makes it more unlikely to happen.

With Harvey and Lewis left to keep the firm standing, Donna (Sarah Rafferty) will have to be the balancing force between the two. Korsh explains what fans can expect from the firm giants when "Suits" season 6B returns next year.

"I think the first episode back is a little surprising. Let me rephrase that. It's both what you would expect and also, a little surprising. They both behave as you would expect them to behave, but they both also have little dashes of things that I think are surprising that you wouldn't expect," said Korsh.

According to the showrunner, Donna will be laying out a plan that will not only help the firm but ould also help Harvey and Louis get along. The firm will get into a conflict, but Donna is going to help the firm overcome this new obstacle in their way with the help of a surprise character in season 6B.

The filming for the second half of the season just finished last Sunday, Nov. 20. Rafferty posted photos on her Instagram account celebrating the end of their production.

"Suits" season 6B returns on January 25, 2017.
