'Super Mario Go' release date news, game updates: Nintendo hoping mobile game will surpass 'Pokemon Go'

Japanese game developer Nintendo is out to create a new game that is aimed at surpassing the success of the recent "Pokemon Go" game developed by Niantic Labs. Now, fans are getting hyped over the new Nintendo game, especially after they have learned that it will be starring the Mario Brothers.

According to recent speculations, Nintendo is going to create another augmented reality game that will go against Niantic's "Pokemon Go." The rumored game is dubbed "Super Mario Go," and fans are wondering how Nintendo will apply the classic "Super Mario" gameplay with an augmented reality gameplay.

Certain speculations also suggest that Niantic offered a helping hand to Nintendo when it came to producing the "Super Mario Go" mobile game, an offer that Nintendo declined as they wished to start the "Super Mario Go" project on their own.

However, despite the lack of news from Nintendo as to how the "Super Mario Go" game will play out, fans are still excited to hear about the game's upcoming development.

On another note, Nintendo will be releasing a new "Super Mario" game just before the year ends. The Japanese company has partnered with Cupertino tech giant Apple to create and release their new "Super Mario Run" game this December. "Super Mario Run" will feature the easy and addictive gameplay that "Super Mario" players have enjoyed in the classic games by Nintendo.

Furthermore, since the upcoming "Super Mario Run" mobile game will be exclusively available for iOS devices, Nintendo fans with Android devices are currently hoping that the game will have an Android version soon. As of now, there is still no official news from Nintendo on whether they'll make the game compatible with the Android OS.

The official release date for "Super Mario Run" on the Apple app store is not yet specified, but speculations suggest that the game will become available for iOS devices sometime this December.
