The long-running "Super Robot Wars" (SRW) series has had multiple games, as the series itself is a crossover of multiple mecha animes. With "SRW V" game released just earlier this year, Bandai Namco was proud to announce that their newest game "SRW X" will be released in 2018

The announcement was first made via Bandai Namco's official YouTube channel. As the trailer shows, the new game is actually a compilation of previous games already made. Although mostly in Japanese, it will be localized to English just like "SRW V." As for what this collection contains, it will not only feature already existing games but will even include five new games.

These new games include "Gundam Reconguista in G," "Mashin Hero Wataru," "Buddy Complex," "Buddy Complex Final Act: Into the Skies of Tomorrow," and "Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water." Since the "SRW" series and games have featured mostly mecha, some of the games on the list will only have the mecha features in the game. This applies to "New Story of Aura Battler Dunbine" and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children."

In total, the list contains a whopping 23 games. Masaki Ando and his Cybuster from the original series ("Masou Kishin: The Lord Elemental") will even make an appearance in the new games. As series spoilers tend to be found in the games based on them, the "SRW" series brand producer himself said that this appearance will not mean anything to the series.

"Super Robot Wars X" will be released on March 29, 2018 for Japan and a month later on April 26, 2018 for Southeast Asia. There has been no mention of a date for the Western release yet; however, gamers can try importing the English game from the Southeast Asia version.

This collection of old and new games will be made available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. No news has been reported for a release on other consoles.
