For its dozenth season, it seems that The CW's "Supernatural" has no intention of slowing down, serving up a heartpounding season opener last Oct. 13.

In the first episode of season 12, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is captured by Toni (Elizabeth Blackmore), one of the members of the Men of Letters who wanted to extract information from the younger Winchester brother. However, Sam refused to cave in despite extreme torture.

Meanwhile, a resurrected Mary (Samantha Smith) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) manage to stop Ms. Watt (Bronagh Waugh) from killing the Winchesters. Mary kills Ms. Watt using Castiel's (Misha Collins) angel blade but now, Lucifer is out and on the hunt for a new powerful vessel, reported iTechPost

According to a report by Den of Geek, the season 12 premiere is only the tip of the iceberg as more adventures await Mary and her boys.

The episode synopsis for both episodes 2 and 3 are good indications of what's in store for "Supernatural" fans.

In episode 2 — entitled "Mama Mia" — Mary will prove her mettle as a mother and as a hunter when she joins Dean and Cas on the mission to save Sam. However, Dean will prove to be stubborn and protective of his mother, whom he has not seen in a long while.

Dean, Castiel, and Mary have a lead on Sam and set out to rescue him. Dean is uncomfortable with putting Mary in danger but she insists on going along. Meanwhile, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) is tipped off that Lucifer has taken over the body of rock star Vince Vicente," the synopsis read.

As an additional treat, the synopsis for episode 3 has also been released. Entitled "The Foundry," the episode will show Mary and her children on their first mission together.

"When a crying baby leads to death in a mysterious abandoned house, Mary, Sam, and Dean decide to investigate. Meanwhile, Castiel's hunt for Lucifer (guest star Rick Springfield) leads him, begrudgingly, to partner up with Crowley," the synopsis read.

Episode 2 is slated for airing on Oct. 20, while episode 3 will release a week after on Oct. 27 on The CW.
