Taking on responsibilities can prove to be very hard work, which is why one must first take charge of one's own life. This appears to be the theme of the highly anticipated sequel, "T2: Trainspotting."

The said movie is going to be director Danny Boyle's first ever sequel. The trailer for the film depicts Mark Renton, played by Ewan McGregor, who returns to his friends, the place that he can truly call home. He is joined by Ewen Bremner (Spud), Johnny Lee Miller (Sick Boy), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle).

The plot takes the whole cast into a scenario 20 years after the original film. A lot of years may have passed, but almost everything looked the same. Addiction and self-destruction still await them, which is why McGregor lectures everyone in his narrative.

Mentioning everything that is current — Facebook, Twitter, Instagram — he urges his friends, and most probably himself, too, to choose life. From the looks of it, the film is about going back to one's roots to start all over for the better, not repeating mistakes of the past. "You're an addict, so be addicted. Just be addicted to something else," McGregor says in the background.

Everyone appears to be very excited to work on the sequel. As per First Showing, Boyle said: "This has been a long time coming. There's always been this long term plan for 'Trainspotting 2...' The reason for doing it again is that people cherish the original, people remember it or have caught up with it if they never saw because they were younger. So you want to make sure you don't disappoint people."

"T2: Trainspotting" is set to surprise fans in the United Kingdom on Jan. 27, 2017, then the United States on March 3, 2017, and it will have a worldwide release on Feb. 10, 2017.
