Tesla took a big step in finalizing the design of the highly anticipated Tesla Model 3 with the "supplier test drive day," which will help the brand find the best companies to collaborate with to realize their vision for the car.
A TMC member was able to snap some photos of the Tesla Model 3 during the event. There was a silver version, which looked great in the snaps but far better in person. A black version was also on site but was readily kept back.
According to Clean Technica, the Tesla Model 3 will look a bit different than it was first unveiled in March and even the current look it donned in the supplier test drive event.
The site says the interior and the trunk might be tweaked a bit more to achieve a "totalitarian" look. The frontend may also be modified a bit as per consumer feedback.
The Tesla Model 3 design is close to its finalization. Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that the supplier target is July 2017, although a delay is predicted as some suppliers may not be able to beat the deadline.
Musk even went so far as to say this timeframe is "impossible." Even so, the company is doing its best in rounding up the suppliers that will help them build the much talked about vehicle.
There's massive excitement over the release of the Tesla Model 3, which is said to be the vehicle that will put electric cars in the mainstream.
While fans await for its glorious entrance, they can first play around with the online studio created by a Tesla enthusiast going by the name Bayol.
The unofficial design studio called model3config allows users to customize their own Tesla Model 3 with a selection of nine colors and two wheel shades. An interior customization is still in the works as Tesla is yet to reveal how the inside of the Tesla Model 3 looks.
