'The Big Bang Theory' season 10 spoilers: is the show about to lose two regulars?

Will Penny and Leonard leave after "The Big Bang Theory" season 10? CBS

There has been a buzz about "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 being the beloved sitcom's last. A new report claims that it might be for two cast members.

Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki's contracts will end after the upcoming season. Of course, renewing these contracts will be the first challenge in moving toward another season.

However, Cuoco has already showed how invested she is in the show. Back in March, she was very adamant in saying that "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will not wrap up the show yet.

During that interview with TV Line, the actress, who plays Penny in the series, emphasized her desire to be on the show. "I think it's a given that we want to be here. That's the overall consensus," she said.

"It might be a sticky road, but if I have anything to do with it, we'd be here for much longer. That's the goal," the actress went on to say, cementing her presence in "The Big Bang Theory" up to its end.

Cuoco's character is expected to be further fleshed out in "The Big Bang Theory" season 10. The last season has already shown a possible storyline regarding Penny's struggle in her career.

After giving up on her dreams to be an actress, she is now starting to hate her job at the pharmaceutical company although she is stuck with it to pay the bills. "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 might expand on this.

Penny's primary storyline on the show is her career and it looks like there's more to explore on this matter in the coming seasons of "The Big Bang Theory."

It is also rumored that "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 will introduce Penny's mother, who hasn't appeared on the show but has seen mentioned multiple times.

As for Galecki's commitment to "The Big Bang Theory" season 10 and beyond, Jim Parsons, who plays the role of Sheldon Cooper on the show, is confident (via the same TV Line interview) that Galecki and the rest of the cast members aren't going anywhere.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 10 is expected to premiere this fall.
