Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) will finally get her chance to tell Howard (Simon Helberg) the big news in the upcoming episode of the hit CBS series "The Big Bang Theory."

In "The Positive Negative Reaction," CarterMatt reports that Howard will learn that he is about to become a father. His reaction, however, will worry the mom-to-be, as her husband suddenly becomes obsessed with making more money in order to be able to provide for their growing family. Growing up without a father was hard on Howard, and he does not want that to happen to his own child. Hearing the happy news that Bernadette is pregnant with their first child makes him ecstatic with joy but also with apprehensions.

For her part, Bernadette just wants Howard to enjoy the journey of becoming a father. She knows he will be a good one, considering how he takes care of her. She does understand that having such a big responsibility freaks him out, but with the two of them together, they will figure something out. Last episode, Bernadette was supposed to tell her husband that there is a baby in her tummy during a planned romantic celebration in their hot tub. However, when they returned home, they discovered a rabbit floating in it.

They fished out the rabbit and named it Valentino. Unfortunately, the furry animal got a bit too excited with its human friends that it bit Howard. As her husband rushed to the emergency room, Bernadette was left alone, telling the rabbit that she would tell him the news some other time. In his interview with The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Steve Molaro teased about Howard's reaction to Bernadette's pregnancy.

"He'll experience many emotions! We really dig into the entire group and everybody's reactions to it. They're mostly positive but obviously with some surprise and concern about what this means for the future. ... He'll be feeling some extra pressure to step up and be the dad that his own father wasn't able to be," he shared.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
