Laurel Lance will reportedly die in the season finale of "Arrow" season 4, but actress Katie Cassidy will not be out of the Arrowverse just yet after executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed that Laurel will appear in "The Flash" season 2.

During a press screening on Monday, Guggenheim announced that Cassidy is appearing in the penultimate episode of "The Flash" this season.

"You will see her in an episode of The Flash playing the Earth-2 version of Laurel Lance," Guggenheim said as reported by Entertainment Weekly. Andrew Kreisberg also hinted at Cassidy's "The Flash" appearance in a previous report from the publication, saying: "We have a really exciting, fun doppelgänger coming up in the penultimate episode of The Flash."

The executive producer also revealed that Cassidy will lend her voice to the Arrowverse animated spin-off "Vixen" season 2 as Earth-1 Laurel Lance. However, it remains unclear whether the actress will remain part of the main cast in both series.

Meanwhile, episode 18 of "The Flash" season 2, titled "Versus Zoom," will require Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin) to go on a mission to capture Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) using the tachyon device.

The synopsis for the episode reads:

"Equipped with the tachyon device, Barry believes he is fast enough to stop Zoom and wants to open the breaches to catch him. Harry (Tom Cavanagh) strongly advises against that plan but after Barry convinces him, Harry reveals that Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has the power to re-open the breach. Meanwhile, Hunter Zoloman's (Teddy Sears) painful story on Earth-2 is revealed."

Several promo images for the episode reveal that Cisco will use the eye patch that Wells gave him for protection. It will also let him use his power without having to lose consciousness.

The episode airs on Tuesday, April 19, on The CW.
