Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) meets the villain who's been giving him his Kid Flash dreams, Dr. Alchemy (Tobin Bell). Meanwhile, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) strengthens her frost powers with her changing personality.
In the upcoming sixth episode of "The Flash" season 3 — titled "Shade" — Wally will start having visions that he was a speedster named Kid Flash and his speedster dreams will be caused by Dr. Alchemy. This will force Barry (Grant Gustin) to come clean about going back in time to save his mother from dying, which resulted in the "Flashpoint" timeline where Wally was the Kid Flash instead.
According to the synopsis released by The Futon Critic, "When Wally starts having dreams about being Kid Flash, Barry realizes he has to tell Wally, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about what happened to Wally in Flashpoint in order to keep him safe."
In the episode promo, Iris tells Barry that all Wally ever wanted to do was to help people, and his intentions might result in him meeting with Dr. Alchemy. As shown in the scene photos released by iDigitalTimes, Wally will at one point come face to face with Dr. Alchemy.
Meanwhile, Caitlin is slowly transforming to her Killer Frost persona.
Previously in "The Flash" season 3, Caitlin approached her mother to ask for help in trying to alleviate her newfound frost powers. She is afraid that she is turning into Killer Frost, which is why she hasn't told Barry and the others.
But a certain incident pushed Caitlin's powers to get even stronger instead. An employee of her mother's tried to take advantage of her, which triggered her rage and she ended up encasing him in ice. Dr. Tannhauser (Susan Walters) found out about the incident and told her daughter that she should not use her abilities because it will only make them stronger.
However, this caused Caitlin to become angry, and triggered her almost transforming into Killer Frost.
"The Flash" season 3 airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. EDT on The CW.
