Captain Chandler (Eric Dane) may have a new ally in Jeffrey Michener (Mark Moses) in the upcoming episode of Turner Network Television's (TNT) post-apocalyptic drama series "The Last Ship."

In "Alone and Unafraid," Cartermatt reports that the government official could be a potential source of information about the Immunes and their inner workings, after Chandler and his team managed to breach Sean's (Brian O'Byrne) sanctum sanctorum. Has the Immune propaganda already succeeded in brainwashing him, or is there still hope?

Meanwhile, XO Slattery (Adam Baldwin) is still playing a hide-and-seek game with the sub underwater. Danny (Travis Van Winkle), who was posing as one of Ned's (Nick Court) workers, will discover that Niels (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), aka Patient Zero, is now under the Ramseys' payroll.

Last episode, Dr. Hunter's (Timothy Landfield) video gave the team a starting point on the hunt for the sub. They went to his secret lab in Florida, but all they saw was carnage. The doctor's computers were smashed, and it appeared like nothing could be salvaged. But Rachel (Rhona Mitra) made Chandler check a box that could prove to be important. She also found the cultures they need to keep making the cures. Rachel also told the captain that Hunter's experiment was creating cures in powder form that could be spread like crop dusting. If they could make it, they would not even need the infrastructure they lost.

Chandler and his team followed the tracks of the mercenaries, which led them to an airboat dock in the Everglades. They found heat signatures to the north and went in pursuit. What they discovered was an Immune compound under the control of the Ramseys, and that there was a rally taking place. Going undercover, Chandler and Burk (Jocko Sims) saw that Jeffrey Michener, the cabinet member, was still alive, and that the Ramseys had been feeding him with ideas that he would be the next American president.

"The Last Ship" airs Sunday at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
