Nintendo is currently preparing for the release of one of the most anticipated games of 2017, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild." After all, the game is coming out despite the several delays that plagued it. The new title can be played on the Nintendo Wii U and the upcoming Nintendo Switch console platforms.

According to the Gospel Herald, the Nintendo Switch console is scheduled to be released on March 2017, and as such, various rumors spreading around the internet conclude that the game will also be released together with it. As such, the release date of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be on March 2017 as well.

Right now, Nintendo is not yet keen on releasing a lot of gameplay details for the "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild," but various reports state that the new game will be an open-air adventure. Players will have a greater degree of freedom when it comes to selecting their journey throughout the realm. With this, players can now explore the mountains, rivers, forests, and fields without any impediments.

The journey can be facilitated by mainly riding Link's horse — who is named Epona — or by walking and using the paraglider in order to fly across the map. Jumping and climbing are possible actions as well, which certainly mirrors the degree of freedom offered by the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, according to Forbes, the new "Legend of Zelda" game seems to be paying homage to the original game, as the various locales in both games seem to have an uncanny resemblance to previous locations in earlier titles. As such, it is possible that the new game does exist within the "Fallen Hero" timeline.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is expected to be released in March 2017 for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch.
