Fans will finally get an exclusive look at the highly-anticipated high fantasy action-adventure game, "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" at The Game Awards 2016 that will be held in Los Angeles, California on Thursday, Dec. 1.

The Game Awards is one of the biggest and most prestigious events that celebrate the gaming industry, so it will only be fitting to show a glimpse of Link's latest video game adventure at the ceremony. Fans can tune into Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook Live at 5:30 p.m. PST to catch "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" footage. The Game Awards producer and host Geoff Keighley also shared a couple of teaser images to hype up the reveal even more. One of which appears to feature the Eye of Truth from "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time."

The last time Nintendo showed off "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" was back in June during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016.

The studio showed quite a lot from the game, but they fell silent about the game ever since. But this hyped gameplay unveiling is expected to show more of what the long-awaited title has to offer.

Fans hope that the release date of "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" will be revealed at The Game Awards as well. It has been a subject of many discussions in the past few days.

Nintendo has yet to talk about that aspect, although they have already said that the game will be released in 2017 for both the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U.

GameStop's focused marketing schedule suggests that it will be released during the first quarter of 2017, while a Target listing recently leaked that the game will be out by June 13 of next year.

Well-placed insider Laura Kate Dale then claimed that the Nintendo Switch version will be available in the UK on June 16 while the Wii U version will arrive on June 23.

"The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" is not expected to be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch and that the 3D Mario game will take its place.
